A few years ago after our white-water rafting in Bali, the organizer brought us (me, my wife and the rest of the 10-15 participants) to a showering facility very similar in the one in above photo.
Both genders shower in the same built-up area. Though there were shower curtain for each cubicle, it doesn’t come with any latch on it, which means there was always a gap on either side no matter how well you pulled the curtain.. One has to exercise care to stand ‘strategically’, in order to prevent people walking past (outside) your cubicle, to see your naked body.
The whole place is open-air which means there isn’t any ceiling at all.
After my shower, I exited via a flight of stairs at one end of the bathing area as previously informed.
It then dawned on me that the shower area is something like a basement, and the stairs lead to an small open courtyard/field. There was no fence to prevent people from walking right to the edge of the showering cubicles and look down at the unsuspecting bathers!
Interesting architecture I must say.
