More than 240 women lifeguards hit the sand at Sandy Hook on Wednesday to compete in the 33rd Annual All-Women Lifeguard Tournament

The competition, hosted by the National Park Service, is the largest in the nation devoted to women lifeguards.

The tournament is open to any women working as a lifeguard whether it is an oceanfront, river, lake, bay or pool.

Lifeguards from 21 beach patrols from from New Jersey, New York and other states competed in 10 events: surfboat challenge, distance run, ocean kayak challenge, run-swim-run, beach flags, iron woman, surf rescue, swim-run relay and run relay.

Not sure if it’s a good idea to wear a tube top. The drowning person could have easily yanked it off while struggling g in the water 😆
